About the Artist

I'm Angela Cravens and I've been an artist all my life, mostly self-taught. I attended Savannah College of Art and Design c.1990.  Since then, time available for me to be an artist is often neglected in the wake of responsibilities, so it has to come sporadically.  It's my deepest desire to pursue it more regularly.

I've never wanted to focus on a single mode of expression and I often explore a variety of styles and mediums, including writing, building and/or painting furniture, sculpture, photography and functional crafts.  I may favor the clean, quiet, meditative simplicity of pencil and paper, but won't hesitate to create a lamp or clock if inspired.  I seem to like the challenge of "adapting" to whatever tools or media are there because of the way that seems to reflect the nature of real life itself.  Adapt, evolve, survive, aim to thrive.  Creating seems to lack any sense of time for me, and this lets me know that creating is my true bliss.  I'm infinitely grateful that I'm able.  The irony is creating the time for this timelessness!

My goals include creating more often, developing marketing wisdom without overwhelm, surviving financially while still being true to the soul, and bringing intention to the table to resonate a similar bliss and abundance in those who view my art, even if only for a moment daily.
